Distinctions

Since 1998 Remco Reiding (1976) has been engaged in clearing the fate of Soviet war victims in the Netherlands, especially those buried on the Soviet War Cemetery in Leusden. For tracing their relatives he was repeatedly distinguished by the Russian authorities:

Since 2009 Reiding is associated with the Netherlands Institute for War Documentation (Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences) as an associated researcher. In 2000 and 2004 he was nominated for the Gouden Pennetje (Golden Pencil) and in 2000 for the Heemschut Press Prize.
